I got my copy of Marlon Sanders’ Info Product Dashboard just a few days ago, and this was my reaction after giving it the first close look-over:
Wow! All the fancy techniques that I’ve seen other people use and that made me think, “Sheesh! I sure would like to be able to do that!” They’re all there! Just to give you an example: instructions on how to put little musical intros at the beginning of my audio products. It’s all part of the dashboard’s easy-to-follow step-by-step format.
The info product dashboard divides the product creation process into 6 weeks with 6 (daily) steps each. Most of the resources needed to complete them are either free or actually included as bonuses with the dashboard purchase.
Each week also has a brief audio overview by Marlon himself, where he explains the six upcoming steps. I listened to all 6 of the weekly previews immediately, so I have a pretty good idea what I’ll be able to do once I’ve completed the process.
The descriptions are nicely detailed and clear, so I’m finding it all very doable. Besides, Marlon’s tech support is friendly and helpful, just in case I (or anyone else) should ever get stumped! Not only that, but there is even a discussion forum where all the new dashboard owners can ask questions that are then answered. Pretty cool!
The only drawback, if it can even be called that — the first go-around is going to take me quite a bit longer than 30 minutes per step, at least for some of the steps. I’m still working on step one (and two), and some steps will definitely take WAY longer than 30 minutes.
Does Marlon really think we can pinpoint a suitable market and come up with a targeted product for it in 30 minutes? Does he really think we can find, and contact several potential JV partners in 30 minutes, oh, and negotiate a deal with them, all in the same time-frame? He’s gotta be kidding! Actually, he does admit that a few steps will take longer…
But once accomplished, those same steps will provide contacts and material for many different future products, so I guess I’ll just have to divide the time investment by all the products that I’ll eventually develop from those efforts.
Some of the other steps are going to be faster, and occasionally even skippable (such as when they’re not applicable, i.e., no video required for an audio product OR if I’ve already taken care of something, i.e., choose host and/or domain name etc.), so it will even out, especially over time.
Plus, with the second and third and fourth etc. product, the process will get faster and faster!
So just in case it isn’t obvious by now, I’m very happy with my new dashboard! And, by the way, if you think it’s just for newbies, you may want to reconsider. Yes, the dashboard is easy to follow, and yes, the steps are well explained, so yes, it is an excellent tool for newbies.
But it also offers some very sophisticated techniques, and unless you’re a very experienced marketer, you’re likely to find at least something useful here, certainly enough to make the investment worth your while.
How would I know that? I already own several product-creation programs, and Marlon’s offers tools that I haven’t found in any of the others.
Maybe some marketers are keeping the really good stuff to themselves. No matter. Marlon’s Info Product Dashboard is by far the most comprehensive system I’ve come across yet (which is what Marlon said he had in mind when he created it. From everything I’ve seen, he succeeded)!
Even better, his Info Product Dashboard is priced extremely competitively when compared to most and maybe even all the other even remotely as comprehensive options out there.
I will provide regular progress reports as I work with my new dashboard, so if you’re curious and want to know how I’ll do once I’ll hit the more technically challenging spots, just check my favorite self-help blog for updates… and stay tuned for my soon-to-appear newly created info products.

I see too many well intending entrepreneurs fail to make the money they deserve because they try to hit a homerun with a big info product their first time up to bat. There’s a secret to creating info products that are successful…start small! I’m about to show you the exact ingredients to whip up your own “mini” info product.
Mini info products force you to use the one, most important, ingredient in any successful online venture…give people what they want most. Because the biggest mistake entrepreneurs make is creating an info product on a general subject. I’m here to tell you…they won’t sell online.
A mini info product forces you to deliver only what your target market is most hungry for in a small, concise presentation.
Think about why your target market buys info products online. Imagine them sitting down at their computer right now. They’ve got a problem…a specific problem that they want an immediate and specific solution to – right now! They aren’t looking for general principles or ideas – they go to a bookstore at their leisure for that.
The most successful info products online are “How to” solutions. Here are the key steps to creating your own “How to” info product:
1. Find Out What Your Target Market Complains About Most
Whenever you hear your clients complain about something – take notes because that’s a potential info product. Take note of the most common questions you hear. You could even do an online survey with your list and ask them one simple question: “What’s your single greatest challenge/question around (fill in your topic.)”
2. Compile a List of “How To’s”
Take what your target market complains about most and flip it around into a “How to” statement. For example, if you’re a relationship coach and you always hear your clients complain, “I hate writing those profiles on those dating sites – I never know what to say without sounding stupid!”…then you can create a product called: “How to Instantly Write Your Online Dating Profile…Without Sounding Stupid!” Come up with a list of at least fifteen “How to” titles.
3. Choose the Most Obvious Topic for Your First Info Product
From your list, what’s the most obvious and simplest topic to start with? Make your life easy and go for the low hanging fruit.
4. Outline Your Info Product
Create a simple outline with bullet points. Don’t write a script – it takes too long and isn’t necessary. Chances are you know this topic inside and out because you work with it all the time. All you need is to organize and structure what you do so naturally into a simple, step-by-step system that others can follow. Break up your outline into the following sections:
Introduction
Benefits and results of knowing this “How to”
What the “How to” topic is all about
The specific steps to do the “How to”
Address the most common questions and challenges people have regarding this specific topic
Conclude with a call to action – what’s next after they learn this “How to” (Ideally this involves hiring you!)
5. Record a Live Interview
Conduct a live teleclass (or have a friend interview you privately over the phone) and record your call. Use the outline as your guide. Never read from a script – everyone can tell and it’ll sound stiff. Focus on your energy. You want to get excited and in a natural flow state as you’re being interviewed. Get excited about your topic. People will remember your energy more than they’ll remember the detailed content of the call.
6. Package Your Call into Your Mini Info Product
All that’s left is to package your recording and leverage the information you covered. You can get the audio transcribed and use that as a manuscript for an eBook or workbook. You can also package the audio into a CD info product – either physical CDs or downloadable.
That’s all there is to it! This is a much easier solution for creating info products than trying to produce a big “System-In-A-Box” info product. Do one mini info product and see how easy it is. Pretty soon you’ll have a collection of “How to” audio programs to sell online. And THAT’S the simplest way to start your info product empire!

Selling internet based information based products is a great option to start internet home business and has immense potential. Truly speaking, ebooks, audio files and video files in downloadable format are the only available options to create info products for internet based home business. Not very long back, ebooks were the only medium you could ceate and sell your info products. But with advent of new technology, a marketer of today can easily create audio and video files.
There are many other methods you can dispense information and generate money. These are ezines, newsletters, blogs, membership sites etc. But these in true sense are info services rather than info products.
Ebook is a product that most internet marketers start with. Ebooks are easy to create without much technical requirements. All you have to do is to write. Most popular ebooks are in pdf format. They are popular because they are light, fast, easy to create and can be read on any type of computer be it IBM or Mac, with an equal ease. They do not need any special type of ebook reader. The only requirement is the acrobat reader which should be installed in user computer. Acrobat reader is freely available.
I personally like and recommend use of pdf books. They are a much better choice when compared to exe ebooks which requires a basic understanding of web pages.
All you need is to write your book in Microsoft Word as you normally write and convert that .doc file to .pdf file. It is that simple. For conversion to .pdf file you require a pdf converter. You can either choose to buy from Adobe if you can afford but in my view it is quite expensive. There are some free pdf converters available too. Just do a search and you would find it. A list is also mentioned at our site blog.
Another form of ebook creators create a file in exe form and can only be read in Windows. You would need to purchase one of the available ebook creator from one of the suppliers. Ebook Pro is a good tool with lot many features. Again, you can find the link to source at our blog.
Audio Files are have a great potential market too. For creating good audio files you would require some basic sound hardware, software for editing the sound. You would have to hire somebody with good voice to speak the information. You would also require online audio players to give the online sample hearing to you visitors. All this increase cost and need for technical knowledge.
Video files are a great leap in technology. Everything that is hard to understand in words can be easily understood when put in video form. There are a lot of choices in video making. You can make text and image based videos or you can put live demos. You would require video making softwares , good shooting camera and editing software.
A costly affair for the beginner.
In my view if you do not have much technical knowledge, you should start with ebooks and then can move on to audio and video files later. Most of the sales are still made in ebooks.
Go and capture your share.
